OUR VISION.
Young Champions for Change (YCC) aims to cultivate a new generation of young female changemakers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) by equipping them with knowledge, mentorship, and opportunities that inspire hope and empower them to take action
Despite numerous grassroots and institutional efforts toward women's and girl's empowerment in MENA, lack of hope for a free, fair, and safe future is widespread. Persistent war, social segregation, stereotypes, and biased education systems reinforce mistrust and limit cross-cultural understanding. Moreover, women and youth are often excluded from decision-making tables and lack access to mentors, resources, and opportunities that could empower them to participate meaningfully. The lack of awareness and exposure to existing social impact initiatives perpetuates feelings of helplessness and cynicism, preventing the next generation from envisioning and contributing to sustainable development.
YCC aims to grow into a sustainable regional network that connects, trains, and supports young women in engaging in cross-border collaboration across MENA. Our changemakers will support existing initiatives, share inclusive visions of growth and collaboration within their communities, mentor future young leaders, and launch their own initiatives, creating the foundation for change across MENA.
